“Ulcinj Mundial of Friendship” is a sports-life mission that promotes friendship and love through sports. Our goal is to gather citizens and sports ambassadors from Ulcinj and beyond, so that we can together send messages of peace and unity.

From the very beginning, all families and individuals from Ulcinj have provided immense support in organizing this significant event. The first Mundial was held on November 11, 2022, under the slogan “Ivan's Ulcinj Game,” with the occasion being the Montenegrin premiere of the documentary film and the promotion of the book about the legendary hajduk Ivan Gudelj.

Mundijal prijateljstva 1 (2022))

At the beginning of this already recognizable event, the documentary film “Brave and Result-Oriented” was shown (Sunday, Dom kulture Ulcinj – 6:15 PM).

On the second day of the Mundial of Friendship, among other things, the Montenegrin premiere of a film by Zagreb director Dejan Aćimović about the trophy-winning water polo coach and selector Ratko Rudić was on the program (Monday, Dom kulture – 6 PM).

On this occasion, a large number of water polo representatives from the former SFRY, who won gold at... Olympic Games In 1984 in Los Angeles... On the third and final day, the documentary films “Olympics in Sarajevo” and “Balkan Tree of Peace” will be in the spotlight. Legendary athletes from the former SFRY planted the “Balkan Tree of Peace” in Ulcinj.

The beginning of the cultural entertainment program with coffee from the largest džezva in the world, which arrives in Ulcinj from Sarajevo thanks to the oldest Sarajevo kazandžija, Nasir Jabučar, and the company “Vispak.” 

Opening of the Ulcinj Mundial of Friendship, promotion, presentation, and addressing the guests.

5:00 PM (Cultural Center) 

Promotion of the documentary film “Ćiro Blažević.”

8:00 PM (Restaurant “Primavera”) Gala dinner, socializing, and entertainment for the Mundial guests.

11:00 AM (Old Town / gathering at Hotel Palata Venezia) 

Tour of Ulcinj's Old Town and museum with a cocktail and traditional Ulcinj table. 

6:00 PM (Cultural Center) 

Premiere of the sports documentary film: “Ulcinj Mundial of Friendship – More than a Game, More than Life 

Organized departure for Ada Bojana, gathering place and departure from “Ploče” (near Caffe Bar Posejdon). A tour with a tourist guide and a cocktail is planned on Ada Bojana.

Grand closing of the “Ulcinj Mundial of Friendship” with a gala dinner and entertainment.

Last weekend, Ulcinj became a sports center of the region, gathering the stars of Yugoslav football from the 70s and 80s at the promotion of the book “Ivan Gudelj – Hajdučka priča” and the documentary film “Ivanova igra.”

Pavle Pepđonović, a well-known humanist and entrepreneur, was the main organizer of this spectacle, which attracted over 100 football legends from the former Yugoslavia.

The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazović, emphasized the importance of this gathering as a symbol of lasting friendship and unity.

Ivan Gudelj expressed his delight at the reception in Ulcinj, emphasizing that this is one of the most beautiful experiences of his life.

The event also had a humanitarian character, raising funds for former football player Zoran Vorotović.

This event further promoted Ulcinj as a destination rich in sports and cultural tradition.
